The second annual Cheatham Strong Community Health Fair will be held Thursday, March 15 at Ashland City Elementary School.
The free, family-friendly community event will feature fun and information for all ages.
The fair will be held from 6-8 p.m., and more than 50 Cheatham County groups, organizations and businesses will be on hand to promote the Healthier Tennessee program.
The program strives to increase the number of Tennesseans who are physically active for at least 30 minutes five times a week, promote a healthy diet and reduce the number of people who use tobacco.
“We invite everyone in the community to attend this year’s health fair. Last year’s inaugural fair was a tremendous success and hundreds of families attended. This year will be even bigger and better, and we know that our families will not want to miss out on all the great activities we have planned,” said Claudette Fizer, the Cheatham County School District’s parent involvement coordinator.
The come-and-go event will help families to gather information on all that the county has to offer for them to get out and play, have fun and enjoy the beauty and resources available here.
There will also be prizes, games, live demonstrations, tasting stations and health screenings.
Those who attend are asked to enter the school through the gymnasium.
The fair is being sponsored by the Cheatham County School District-Title I Department, Cheatham County Health Department and Cheatham County Community Enhancement Coalition.
