Close enough to the big city with all the small-town charm found in Cheatham County, Ashland City’s newest Airbnb rental property, Highway 12 Lodge & Events, is packed full of charm, amenities, and unique history.

“We chose this home for our first rental because of its incredible bones and history,” owner Janet Knight says with excitement.

Country music megastar Randy Travis purchased the property, located at 304 N Main Street, in 1989, records show.

Records also indicate that the late Cheatham County philanthropist, John E. Mayfield, purchased the property from Travis for $112,500 in 2002.

Janet and her husband, Kacy Knight, bought the property in December of 2018, and the renovations began almost immediately.

“While carefully preserving the home’s originality, we wanted to make everything feel new again,” Knight says.

The charming two-bedroom, one-bath home sleeps up to six guests. It boasts three porches, a full kitchen, fireplace, and optimal workspace.

In addition to renting the space for overnight stays, Knight also offers the property for daytime, evening, and weekend events like showers, special lunches, dinners, and meetings with clients. For events like these, the house is available for an hourly rate.
