Sobriety Checkpoint Set for March 14

From 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday, March 14 the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a sobriety checkpoint and saturation patrol in the area of Hwy 41-A and Maxey Rd, to crack down on impaired driving in Cheatham County. However, as non-compliance with the safety belt and child restraint laws place people in danger, these laws will be vigorously enforced as well.

"The Sheriff’s Office recognizes that roadside sobriety checkpoints are highly visible and effective tools in the battle against impaired driving,” said Sheriff Mike Breedlove. The Cheatham County Sheriff's Office reminds citizens to buckle up, drive alert, and always find a sober ride home.

This enforcement initiative is funded solely by the Tennessee Highway Safety Office.
