W.J. Puckett, age 86, of Coopertown, Tennessee, died Sunday, May 24, 2020, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30AM on Thursday, May 28th at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Bro. Don Dungan officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30AM until the hour of service at 11:30AM on Thursday, May 28th.
Mr. Puckett was born on April 27, 1934 in Smithville, Tennessee to the late Herbert and Myrtle Foutch Puckett. He was retired from the Aladdin Corporation where he worked as a machine operator. He loved to bowl and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Erma Hasty; brother, James Puckett; sisters, Nina Bain and Motie Shadowens; and step-son, Billy Hasty.
He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Meeks; step-daughters, Terry and Kim; a granddaughter, Angel (Jay) Petrone; great-grandchildren, Nicole, Nathan, Olivia, and Dontae; and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
