For the second time of the season, the community came together at The Village in Pleasant for Cruise’n N Groove’n. The June 20 event drew in 140 cars, Jeeps, high-end hot rods, and many spectators.

The Mayor’s Choice Award went to Donald Sparks for his custom 1958 Chevrolet truck.

Heather and Phil Harant of Ashland City were awarded the Mayor’s Jeep of the Year for the restoration/rebuild of their 1978 CJ5.

To top off the evening, Tristan McIntosh, 2015 American Idol finalist, took the stage and gave a memorable performance.

“It was so great to be able to perform again and I felt so welcomed,” McIntosh said. “For my first show since quarantine, I had a really great time.”

McIntosh’s debut project, a single release, has a tentative date of August 7.

“We have such an awesome community that truly cares for each other and each other’s successes,” Pleasant View Mayor Perry Keenan said. “Tristan was phenomenal and so appreciative. We were fortunate to have her and the band there on Saturday.”

The town’s next Cruise’n N Groove’n will be on July 18 beginning at 5 PM.
