With the help of many Cheatham County businesses, hundreds of local students obtained supplies for the upcoming school year on July 24.
The 9th annual Cheatham Chamber Back-to-School-Bash, held at Riverbluff Park in Ashland City, drew in students by the masses who were able to get items they need to start school.
Many others that were not able to make it out to the event, later contacted the Cheatham Chamber to get supplies as well.
Leftover items were donated to the Stuff the Bus program that the school district hosts in order to stock up on items that will be utilized throughout the year.
"We love being able to give back to a community we love so much," says Tonya Hess, the Cheatham County Chamber Engagement Coordinator.
"I know this event truly helps families that struggle to get their kids properly prepared for school. All of our kids deserve to start school with the tools they need to have a successful year. We wish all of them a wonderful school year."
