On January 7, 2025, Cheatham County Central High School hosted the Battle of the County wrestling duals against Harpeth and Sycamore high schools. The winner of this annual competition holds the "Battle of the County" trophy for the year.
The first dual of the evening was between Sycamore and Harpeth with the War Eagles taking down their south-county competitors. The second dual of the tournament was between Harpeth and Cheatham, with the Cubs ultimately defeating the Indians by a score of 72-6.
The final dual of the evening was between Sycamore and Cheatham. The Cubs were able to defend their trophy by eliminating the War Eagles, 54-25, and continue to reign as "Battle of the County" champions.
