The late Deputy Stephen Reece was honored Sunday, November 15 at the Cheatham County Courthouse, one year after his tragic and untimely on-duty passing.
In his honor, fellow deputies, Cheatham County Sheriff's Office employees, elected officials, family members, and citizens gathered to remember Reece and his legacy.
The community came together to raise a truckload of supplies that was donated to the Cheatham County Animal Shelter in honor of the cause Reece loved most- animal rescue. The heartfelt afternoon, coordinated and sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #81, also brought in over $2K in monetary donations for the local shelter.
A meal was generously supplied by Vuocolo's Italian Pizzeria, dessert by Ginger Vann, and drinks were donated by Food Lion in Ashland City.
