Reverend Jack B. Batson, age 72, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 18, 2023.
He was born in Charlotte, Tennessee, on June 12, 1951, to the late Arthur Clarence Batson and Lydia Mai (Hunter) Batson. He was the pastor of New Life Apostolic Church in Nashville, Tennessee, for over 30 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lydia Batson; brothers, Alexander “Bud” Batson, A. C. Batson, Jr., John D. Batson, and Donald Batson; sisters, Lena Harrell, Betty Jane Reynolds, and Dovalene Batson.
He is survived by his wife, Charolyn (Mays) Batson; sons, Nathan (Victoria) Batson and David (Jennifer) Batson; sisters, Frances (Mike) Batts and Aline (Charles) Roberts; grandchildren, Dawson (Alexandria) Batson, Jackson Batson, LeAnna Batson, Logan Batson, and Greyson Batson; and great grandchildren, Declan Batson.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, June 23, 2023, at 6pm at New Life Apostolic Church, 4712 Clarksville Pike, Nashville, Tennessee 37218, with a visitation before the service from 3pm until service time of 6pm. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 1pm at New Life Apostolic Church with a visitation beginning at 11am until the hour of service of 1pm. Burial will follow at EverRest of Cheatham in Pleasant View, Tennessee. Serving as pallbearers will be Dawson Batson, Jackson Batson, John Warner, Mark Sullivan, Kenny Arms, and Dr. Jerry Batson. Honorary pallbearers are Keith Graves, John Wilson, Marty Roberts, Loren Mays and Charles Roberts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Life World Missions Department.
